Podcasts/Videos & Cyber Ethics

I like the current project of searching for relevant podcasts and videos. It is extremely important to be able to find and utilize these technological tools in the classroom. In addition to the fact that students are becoming more and more used to learning through technology, podcasts and videos can give the student a new/different way of learning something. Having a teacher always lecture in front of the class can get old real quick, so having an alternative method of conveying information is a good way to keep students engaged.

It is a shame how some people take advantage of technology. It is because of these cyber bullies that people even have to waste time coming up with cyber ethics. I don't understand why people can't just be responsible and treat others with respect.

I agree with you. I think it is important to use technology in the classroom and these podcasts and videos are a perfect way to integrate the technology. They provide a fun way for students to learn which makes teaching all that more exciting.

I agree with this post. It most definately is a shame that in our society today we are never protected, especially on the internet. It makes me sick that people get pleasure out of taking advantage of other people's personal information on the internet. The internet should be a safe place that makes life a lot easier and more efficient, however, today it seems to be doing just the opposite in some cases.

As teachers we have to be aware of ways on how to protect our students from the predators. Teaching media literacy includes teaching students how to be responsible and safe technology users.
