Digital Image Project

I feel a little bit better about this project now. At first, I didn't think that it was very relevant for a math curriculum, but now I see how it can be. I decided to do my project as a field trip of arches around the world. After looking at all of the different types of arches, I could go over the geometric formula for arches and show how each formula applies to each arch.

Sometimes it is difficult to see the not so obvious. Using digital images in math classroom may sound not common but in reality there are several ways we can use images in teaching mathematics. One example is creating a virtual field trip showing images symbolizing the different events in the history of mathematics.

It took me some time to figure out how I could make thing relevant to English as well. Fortunately this project fit for me, however in the past, such as excel I was very overwhelmed by the task. But once you see one way to incorporate something other doors start to open up.
