Sometimes I think teachers might not be aware of everything a smart board can do, and therefore it is not used to its full extent. My sophomore year I was in a 4th grade classroom with a smart board. I can only recall twice when my cooperating teacher used it--once to demonstrate a program the students would be using in the computer lab and once to show a movie. I think it could have been incorporated more into daily/weekly lessons. <br />I think one benefit we have as future teachers is that the benefits of smart board have been researched and they are becoming more commonly used.
